Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to protect the integrity of the Department’s Family Investment Administration benefit programs, and provide management information to the Department’s Family Investment Administration staff in the Central office and in the Local Departments of Social Services by providing administrative and managerial oversight of program audits for the Bureau of Quality Control.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet all minimum (and selective) qualifications to be considered, and to appear on the list of people eligible for hire. Please read all requirements before applying.

Education:  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:  Four years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.

Notes:

1.  Candidates may substitute additional professional or  technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2.  Candidates may substitute graduate level education at an   accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 credit hours per year for up to two years of the required experience.

3.  Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the selective qualification(s) to be considered. Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

Two years of experience determining eligibility for governmental assistance, utilizing systems such as Clients’ Automated Resource and Eligibility System (CARES), State Verification Exchange System (SVES), Enterprise Content Management Solution (ECMS), etc.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

The ideal candidate would possess:

Possesses a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Sociology, Administration or similar/closely-related major.

Two years of the required minimum qualification experience working within the DHS Central Bureau of Quality Control. 

One year of experience using computer software such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, WebEx, and mainframe.

LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION

Limited to current employeess of the DHS Central Family Investment Administration, Quality Control Unit only.
