This position is the Team Leader for the CDA Contract Administration (CA) unit. The job's primary purpose is to ensure that the CA unit meets all HUD requirements under the Annual Contributions Contract (ACC) related to the administration of Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) contracts for identified Section 8-assisted properties. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for assistance in managing/organization of the team best to maximize the unit's productivity and efficiency. Participate/lead in the training of newly developed HUD standards and quality control measures. Ensure that all core tasks under the ACC are completed while earning 100% of all possible fees. The applicant should be knowledgeable of project-based vouchering, contract renewals, management and occupancy reviews, and the HUD handbook 4350.3. Team Leader should be able to effectively communicate with tenants, HUD staff, and unit staff both orally and in writing.

The Department of Housing and Community Development Headquarters is located in Prince George's County across from the New Carrollton Metro stop.

The main purpose of the job is to ensure that the CA unit meets all Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements under the Annual Contributions Contract (ACC) related to administration of Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) contracts for identified Section 8-assisted properties.
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Four years of experience in administrative staff or professional work.
1. Additional experience in administrative staff or professional work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
- Three years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Section 8 rules and regulations; property management experience; or HUD secure systems or voucher data systems.
- Two years of experience with reporting data on unit productivity and efficiency.
- Two years of program leadership experience as a supervisor or lead.

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
