POSITION DUTIES

CJIS-CR Billing Coordinator

Provides technical support for the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) invoicing processes. It provides ongoing user invoicing and financial problem analysis to statewide users of CJIS live- scan systems and coordinates accounts receivable entries into the CJIS Repository Administrative System (RAS) and the statewide Financial Management Information System (FMIS). Coordinate DPSCS and ITCD Finance units for Private Provider, Private Company and Government Provider invoicing.

Monthly invoicing of electronic live scan fingerprinting transactions.
Retrieval of invoices from RAS system& collections of past due accounts.
Sending customer invoices via Maryland.gov email system.
Creating, correcting, entering and modifying accounts in the FMIS and RAS Systems.
Confer with internal and external customers and stakeholders in order to exchange information to conduct business and to improves, establishment of new invoicing procedures, interpret policies and make sound recommendations to management.
Assists the Government Coordinator & Private Provider Coordinator.
Perform other as assigned on behalf of CJIS, ITCD, and Department Of Public Safety and Correctional Services. 

Government Provider Coordinator

Coordinates and oversees the daily operation of five (5) MVA hazmat units and Government agencies (Criminal Justice and Non Criminal Justice) throughout the state of Maryland authorized to submit  live scan fingerprint to the Maryland Criminal Justice Information System (currently 150 = units) to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations and policies.

Assists the Private Provider Coordinator and CJS -CJ Billing Coordinator.
Assists in trouble - shooting live scan operational issues.  Evaluates the efficiency of operations and develops, and recommends new policies, standards and workflow procedures. 
Performs other duties as assigned on behalf of CJIS and DPSCS. 

Private Provider Coordinator

Coordinates and oversees the daily operations of the private providers and private companies throughout the State of Maryland authorized to submit live scan fingerprints to the Maryland Criminal Justice Information System (currently 300= units) to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations and policies.

Issue authorizations certificates.
Coordinates with DPSCS webmaster to update relevant webpages.
Ensures proper surety bond and vendor contract establishment for DPSCS.
Assists the Government Provider Coordinator and CJIS-CR Billing Coordinator.
Perm Other duties as as assigned on behalf Of CJIS, ITCD and DPSCS.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Four years of experience in administrative staff or professional work.

Notes:

1. Additional experience in administrative staff or professional work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the minimum and selective qualifications to be considered.

One year of experience using Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) applications.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications are preferred, not required.

1. Two years of experience working with CJIS, Corrections, Criminal Justice, or Law Enforcement.
2. Two years of experience in Accounting, Criminal Justice, Government, Law, Public Policy or related fields.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
