Main Purpose of Job

This position will be responsible for the technological components of the WIC Training Center. Such components include the set-up, maintenance and troubleshooting of a customized and integrated audio and visual system at the Training Center, as well as the management of the usage of multiple virtual training platforms, including Go-To-Meeting, Go-To-Webinar, and Google Meets. In addition, this position will be responsible for the set-up and maintenance of PCs and laptops for training, thus ensuring that trainees are able to obtain access to training, along with the ability to troubleshoot any technical problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: One year of experience evaluating, implementing and maintaining personal computer hardware and software.

Notes: 1.  Experience responding to, and resolving, help desk calls from users of computers, or operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, data base, or other applications, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a Non-Commissioned Officer in Cyber and Information Systems classifications or Cyber and Information Systems specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work, on a year-for-year basis, for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should have experience providing both onsite and remote technical support, as well as experience installing, repairing, and/or troubleshooting computers and printers. He/she should also have experience working with, and troubleshooting, virtual training platforms.
