Main Purpose of Job

The Salesforce/CRM Technical Director is responsible for overall project management and planning activities for smaller projects and all business aspects of the requirements and analysis phase of larger projects. This position is involved in the design or modification of systems and business processes often with cross-functional teams. The Director will interact with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to document, organize and clarify business requirements and workflows. They will meet with business units to determine CRM needs. The CRM must have excellent analytical skills, Technical leadership, setting best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement; the ability to integrate information from multiple sources to execute effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment; have solid written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences; be proactive with proven strength in researching and finding solutions to creatively introduce alternative business processes and workflows to enhance what the stakeholders provided; the ability to train individuals on the Salesforce application.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science,  Software Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience with application and software development, including technical project management experience and at least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience. 

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred candidates should possess:

  • Experience developing customer-facing interfaces;
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce CRM platforms;
  • Proficiency in MYSQL, Apex, JavaScript, Native, and VisualForce;
  • Strong understanding of relational databases;
  • Demonstrative success with multiple Salesforce integration projects;
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications via real-time, batch, sync/async;
  • Experience with scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premise middleware and other enterprise integrating technologies;
  • Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users;
  • 2+ years previous development experience with Salesforce;
  • Solid understanding of and detailed experience with Salesforce architecture and API;
  • Detailed experience writing Visualforce and Apex classes and triggers;
  • Proficiency in SOAP/Rest based web services;
  • Experience using Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE);
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills; and,
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
