LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor's degree in
Accounting from an accredited college or university or a Bachelor's degree in
Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or
university with 30 credit hours in accounting.
Experience: Four years’
experience working and performing accounting duties and applying generally
accepted accounting principles.
Notes:
1. Possession of a certificate as a Certified Public Accountant or a Master's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Our preferred candidate
will have the following:

4 years of
supervisory experience - to include scheduling, setting/reviewing performance goals,
process improvement and corrective action.
·
Advanced level
experience using Microsoft Excel
·
Experience working with the State of MD
FMIS system or other accounting system(s) in state or federal government.
