Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient, accurate and systematic processing and recording of accounting data to ensure compliance with the Annotated Code of Maryland, Code of Maryland Regulations, control agencies (i.e., Comptroller of the Treasury, State Treasurer's, etc.) policy and procedures and Maryland Department of Health's (MDH) policies and procedures, while maintaining adequate internal control to safeguard State assets and confidential information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Accounting and five (5) years of experience working in an accounting or financial unit, including three (3)years of supervisory experience in an accounting or financial environment. 

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
