LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
- Provide technical expertise on infrastructure engineering with an emphasis on modern, cloud infrastructure, hybrid cloud models, and platform services.
- Architect, deploy and support complex networks to secure communication to/from existing enclaves.
- Present research findings and technical information in a concise manner that can be understood by non-engineers and gives decision-makers the context and key points necessary to make necessary decisions.
- Assist with creating and/or maintaining a Service Catalog as well as an IaaS and PaaS specification baseline document
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an
accredited college or university in Computer Information Technology, Management
Information Systems, Computer Science or other information technology related
field of study to include coursework in database management systems.
Experience:
Four years of experience
designing and implementing complex data communications or telecommunications
networks.
Notes:
1.
Candidates may substitute professional network engineering experience on a
year-for-year basis, for the required education.
2.
Candidates may substitute additional graduate education at an accredited
college or university, at the rate of thirty credit hours for each year of the
required experience.
3.
Candidates may substitute the U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in
Database Administration classifications or Database Administration specialty
codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year for year basis for
the required experience and education.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years’ experiences working in Amazon Web Services, with hands-on experience in building, configuring, and developing network design and architecture diagrams.
- Experience working with key mission‐critical infrastructures such as Active Directory, VMWare, Window Server, Linux, Storage (NAS, SAN), Relational Databases, VCS, Networking (Routing, Firewall, Load balancers), Web services (Apache, Tomcat, IIS), Citrix, File transferring (SFTP, FTP).
