Main Purpose of Job

Responsible for providing ongoing data analysis and validation for federal reporting, to perform business analytics to assist the Division of Rehabilitation Services' management to make data driven decisions, and to participate in the Statewide Quality Assurance Team to assess the quality of services delivered by the Division.

POSITION DUTIES

Using data analytics tools, review, validate, and correct case services data to assure completeness and accuracy in federal RSA-911 quarterly reports submitted to the Rehabilitation Services Administration by the Division. Using a variety of tools and methods, assist the Agency in obtaining post exit data required for reporting purposes    Using data analytic tools, create and disseminate various management reports reflecting Agency progress toward the common performance measures mandated by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act, and Agency progress toward the State's Benchmarks for Success measures.   Using data analytic tools, create and disseminate various management reports reflecting both compliance with mandated timeliness requirements and other management initiatives.    Using a Quality Assurance Record Review Instrument, review client records to ascertain if required documentation is included in the case file and that specific target milestones are being meet.  Perform additional assignments as needed by Supervisor or Management, this would include such activities as disseminating Customer Satisfaction Surveys and analyzing responses, assisting in providing data for research and Managing for Results purposes, contributing to the Comprehensive Statewide Assessment of the Rehabilitation Needs of Individuals with Disabilities in Maryland, addressing requests for assistance with AWARE when the Staff Specialist III is unavailable to address such requests, etc.   

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

Two years of administrative, librarian, teaching or rehabilitation work in education, library or rehabilitation programs.

Notes:

  • Additional experience as defined above directly related to the position may be substituted for the required Bachelor’s degree at the rate of one year of experience for one year of education.
  • Possession of a Master’s degree may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
  • The above requirements are set by the Maryland State Department of Education in accordance with Education Article, Section 2-104.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

  • Experience with the DORS Aware Case Management System.
  • Experience using data analytics tools.
