Main Purpose of Job

This position serves as the Executive Director for the Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech-Language Pathologists. The main purpose of this position is to administer the statutory mandates of the Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists. This position is responsible for the development, evaluation and implementation of administrative procedures to ensure that the Board fulfills its mandated responsibilities. The Board's statutory responsibilities include licensure, disciplinary, legislative, regulatory, public information, fiscal and general administrative functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six years of professional work experience, including three years at a supervisory or project management level. The selected candidate must have skills in word processing and data management.

Graduate education may be substituted for up to two years of the required general work experience. Additional administrative experience may be substituted year-for-year up to four years of the required education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have management level training and experience in directing program activities such as licensure, discipline, legislative and fiscal mandates.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.

Candidates may remain on the certified eligible list for a period of at least one year. The resulting certified eligible list for this recruitment may be used for similar positions in this or other State agencies.
