The Thomas B. Finan Center, a multi-purpose psychiatric facility operating 88 beds, is a primary inpatient component of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene serving the citizens of Maryland. Specialized evaluation and treatment services are available for adult and geriatric psychiatric patients.
We are excited to offer a new 36-hour schedule option for Registered Nurses.
LOCATION OF POSITION
Thomas B. Finan Center is located 2 and 1/2 hours from Baltimore, MD.
This Registered Nurse MDH 36 position is a newly created scheduling trial that allows certain RN positions to three 12 hour shifts per work week, while still receiving pay for a standard 40 hours workweek. This position also offers full time benefits, such as a leave time, pension and health benefits. More details will be provided at the time of interview.
The Registered Nurse provides general nursing including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of care given for a single shift to approximately 24 mentally ill patients. This position gives guidance to licensed practical nurses and direct care staff. This position may be assigned to any shift or unit to provide necessary coverage. All work is performed in accordance with established policy and procedures and professional practices.
