Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to oversee and manage the daily operations of the Food Services Department in collaboration with the Food Service Director in accordance with the prescribed procedures and applicable health and sanitation regulation and standards. This position will be responsible for the development and oversight of all quality assurance program and monitoring for process improvement and for procurement and inventory of food and supplies for meal delivery and cost containment. This position will oversee patient/resident diet order/change process, manage, coordinate, and supervise all special catering or hospitality events and assist with policy and procedure development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Six years of experience supervising workers and activities in an institutional, commercial, or industrial food service operation.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience supervising workers and activities in an institutional, commercial, or industrial food service operation for the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Food Services Officers or Culinary Specialist classifications or Food Services Manager and Services Officer specialty codes in the Food Service Management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess experience managing daily food service operations and experience with the development and oversight of quality assurance and process improvement. The desired candidate should also have experience with applicable health and sanitation regulations and standards.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
