Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this
position is to provide leadership for information technology (IT) professionals
responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and support of DHS
applications in the Office of Technology for Human Services (OTHS). The EPMO
Delivery Assistant Director supports the Deputy CIO of Operations with forming
management, strategic and tactical planning, oversight, guidance, evaluation,
and coordination for DHS applications enterprise-wide. This position serves an
integral role in working with stakeholders to ensure that all enhancements, development,
and support activities are aligned with the Department’s strategic vision and
will improve the Department’s mission-critical systems. The EPMO Delivery
Assistant Director reports directly to the Deputy CIO of Operations. This
position oversees the Application Maintenance and Operations contract to ensure
that all DHS applications are maintained and kept updated accordingly. This
position oversees the workload distribution, risk reporting, mitigation, and
resolution, issue, and action item resolution, assuring all DHS technology projects
adhere to the Department’s technical environment, standards, and target
architecture, and that all changes and improvements to DHS applications follow
industry-standard processes and procedures and promote best-practice IT
methodologies. The EPMO Delivery Assistant Director leads the EPMO Delivery and
support teams servicing DHS applications.

· Personal Leave - new State employees are awarded six (6) personnel days annually (prorated based on start date).

· Sick Leave - fifteen (15) days of accumulated sick leave per year.
