Introduction

POSITION DUTIES

This position provides administrative support, technical assistance, and office support to the Assistant State Superintendent, Division of Rehabilitation Services, assisting in the administration of a Division with over 700 employees statewide, serving approximately 28,000 individuals with disabilities annually. This position is the primary administrative liaison to the Maryland State Rehabilitation Council, coordinates appeal requests, grievances, and coordinates provider and vendor information for the Division’s case management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point; and Google applications is necessary for this position. 

This position is required to attend quarterly evening meetings of the Maryland State Rehabilitation Council.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate

Experience: Five years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative support to a senior or executive level manager


LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION

This recruitment is limited to current permanent and contractual employees of the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must consent to State Police Investigation (fingerprinting) as a routine procedure for all employees with this Agency.
