Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of the Executive Director, under the auspices of the Maryland Board of Morticians and Funeral Directors (“the Board”) is to act as program manager in administering the statutory mandates of Title 7, Health Occupations Article, Annotated Code of Maryland. Duties and responsibilities include administering the Board’s budget, direction, supervision and management of staff, direct involvement as warranted, pursuant to the Board’s operational functions; including, but not limited to, licensure, compliance, discipline, information technology, regulatory, legislative, personnel, policy and procedures and administrative matters, as directed by the Board.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, human resources or similar field and six years of professional administrator experience, which must include human resources experience and experience working with regulatory Boards.  Candidates must also possess least three years of experience at a supervisory or management level.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
