Main Purpose of Job

Main purpose of the Program Manager I is to coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of evidenced-based policies and practices used in the supervision within the community of convicted sexual offenders by the locally-based Collaborative offender Management Enforced Treatment(COMET) teams established throughout the state.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: 
1.  Supervisory experience for three (3) years.
2.  At least five (5) years experience with the Department of Parole & Probation as an Agent Sr., P & P Field Supervisor I or P & P Field Supervisor II.
3.  Satisfactory or above in the most recent End-of Cycle and Mid-Cycle performance ratings.
4.  Strong communication, organizational and writing skills in supervision of a unit.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must have past or present experience with specialized supervision units.

LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION

This recruitment is open to current Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services(DPSCS) Parole & Probation Agent Sr., Parole & Probation Field Supervisor I and Parole,  Probation Field Supervisor II

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification are subject to call-in 24 hours a day and may be required to provide their employing agency with a telephone number where they may be reached.
