POSITION DUTIES

Webmaster Business Analyst will be reviewing content for Accuracy, Grammar, Spelling, Clarity, Conciseness, Appropriate Language & Level of Communication for Public Audience & Website Presentation, Functionality & Appropriateness of Links Assigned to Pages, Presence of Sufficient Details. Content Review, Content Gathering, Content Updates, Content Editing & Revisions, Content Verification (includes checking and verifying details of content with units, contacting and collaborating with unit Points of Contact), Content Approvals (includes obtaining each unit’s Point of Contact approval), Type Revised/Updated Content, Submit revised content via Word document in print and electronic format. Currently, DPSCS has 241 pages on our publicly facing external site and 478 pages on internal SafetyNet site.

Establish a spreadsheet with all unit names, POC names, names of content areas assigned to each unit, and date of most recent revision, review, and verification of content. Content Verification & Review Includes: Webmaster checking and verifying content for all pages with POC. Webmaster will be editing and correcting content issues to ensure that content is: Accurate, Grammatically correct (including resolving punctuation and spelling errors), Clear and Concise, Appropriate for the Public Audience, Relevant to the Public Audience, Easily and Readily Accessible (including defining appropriate headers for information, defining page links and connecting content with appropriate links), Functional & Appropriate, and Easy to Navigate.

Serves as web business analyst and performs the following duties: content review, web requirements gathering, content updates, content editing & revisions, content verification, content approvals. Establishes a spreadsheet with all unit names, POC names, names of content areas assigned to each unit, and date of most recent revision, review, and verification of content. Will be checking and verifying content for all DPSCS web pages.

Webmaster Analyst will be reviewing content for accuracy, grammar, spelling, clarity, conciseness, appropriate language & level of communication for Public audience & website presentation, functionality & appropriateness of links assigned to pages, and presence of sufficient details.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience developing websites and knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and Visual Studio.

Experience with website content management and the ability to review content for accuracy, grammar, spelling, clarity, conciseness, and appropriate language.

Appropriate level of communication for Public audience and website presentation, functionality, appropriateness of links assigned to pages, and presence of sufficient details.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications: 

1.  Experience reviewing web content for accuracy.
2.  Knowledge of web content standards and practices.
