Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to assist the Practice Manager with agency business. This is done by conducting considerable correspondence & taking meeting minutes as well as compiling & summarizing data into concise form for the preparation of multiple confidential reports.

This position will track, prepare & maintain the credentialing for all providers with Medicare, Medicaid & private insurance payers. This position will also be responsible for the maintenance of CAQH and ePrep for all clinicians & prescribers as well as gathering insurance contracts for review by the Practice Manager. This position will require the ability to maintain a high level of customer service, be a team player, and possess an extremely high degree of confidentiality.

In addition, this position will provide consistent agency operations in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures for the agency. The selected applicant must be able to work and travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Six months of experience performing administrative staff, clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess:
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office;
  • Experience working with Google sheets and documents;
  • Experience with Patagonia EHR and billing practices.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
