POSITION DUTIES

Reviews, coordinates, manages and monitors delivery and installation of MCE products and services with the emphasis on furniture.
  • Works in conjunction with designers to coordinate large projects involving more than one MCE product line. 
  • Coordinates delivery and installation of MCE Product.  
  • Measures offices and work spaces, both large and small to ensure proper fit of office equipment ordered.  
a.  Obtains and maintains updated drawings for all MCE working projects to include layout as well as actual items.  
b.  Requests pertinent information from vendors.  
c.  Sets up and maintains an installation calendar for all projects.  
d.  Coordinates installation between shop, install company and customer.  
e.  Assures timely production by staying in contact with pertinent production shops.  
f.  Follows up on any  project punch lists to assure job completion and customer satisfaction.  
g.  Makes periodic site checks to assure progress. 
  • Verifies correct quantities of product on order. 
  • Coordinates and obtains the correct supplies, resources and tools for the job.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:     Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience:   Seven years of experience in sales promotion, industrial sales or marketing research.   

Notes: 
1. Equivalent volunteer and/or part-time experience can be substituted for the required experience. 
2. Education at an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the required experience at the rate of 60 credit hours.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the selective qualification(s) to be considered. Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

1. Two years of experience involving installation of office furniture, classroom, seating/lounge furniture and panel systems.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

1. Experience coordinating furniture installation to include sight visits to review project with end user and shipping. 
2. Experience creating documents in Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint. 
3. Knowledge of design and construction methodologies for a variety of building types, mechanical and electrical systems and construction delivery methods.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require the operation of a motor vehicle.  Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
