POSITION DUTIES

To collect all delinquent accounts referred from various MD state government agencies in the quickest, efficient, and most cost-effective manner while employing the highest professional standards.

This position is responsible for reviewing and discussing accounts with customers who visit the CCU Satellite Office.  Implementing payment agreements and setting up account payment agreements in the FICO Debt Manager system, as well as requiring payment in full when necessary.  Interacting with MVA Insurance Compliance Division staff, Legal Measure staff, and the office of the Attorney General in order to resolve accounts when necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: None

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- One year experience in customer service
- One year experience in Debt Collection

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates are required to undergo a criminal background check as part of the selection process due to the financial nature of the job.
