POSITION DUTIES

General Purpose: The purpose of the Press Assistant role is to provide assistance and support to Governor Wes Moore’s Communications team. This position helps further the governor’s Communications team's efforts to communicate information about the Moore-Miller administration to the general public.

Responsibilities:
● Monitor Administration’s Media Press Clips 
● Draft Governor’s public communications materials including Public Schedules, press releases and other documentation 
● Transcribe public interviews 
● Maintain documents for Office of Communications: 
○ Weekly Report 
○ Scheduling Requests 
○ Interview Tracker 
● Manage the Office of Communications Fellows Program 
● Maintain internal team contact list/spreadsheet 
● Assist as Communications staff at events with the Governor 
● Other Duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree
