POSITION DUTIES

A nursing resource assistant is responsible for routine data collection duties. This position performs clerical duties in an office setting such as filing, photocopying, scanning documents, and uploading documents onto the computer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   None.

Experience: One year of experience keying large amounts of alpha, numeric or symbolic data from source documents into a computer or onto magnetic tape or disk according to a production schedule.

Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or in Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the clerical support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess the following:
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suites
  • Experience preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry
  • Experience handling confidential information and documentation 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Candidates for this classification must demonstrate the ability to keyboard at forty words per minute on a standard keyboard or one hundred keystrokes per minute on data entry equipment.

2. Employees in this classification must meet production standards established by the employing agency.
