Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Assist in the preparation of an annual budget for the Family Investment Administration that is consistent with its goals and program objectives, in accordance with budget instructions and established time frames.
- Verify accuracy and certify procurement documents for availability of funds and to monitor contract balances using Advanced Purchasing Inventory Control System (ADPICS) and Relational Statewide Accounting Reporting System (R*STARS) in Financial Management Information System (FMIS) and tracking expenditures on Excel spread sheet.
- Prepare quantitative portions of budget requests, including experience-based items, formula driven costs, caseload driven costs, and inflation adjustments for same.
- Provide assistance and direction in the technical operation, retrieval and preparation of the computerized data files, printed copies of the numerical request and the corresponding budget justification notes.

- Prepare balance sheet items utilizing current expenditure reports to ensure accuracy and reliability and to protect departmental fiscal resources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
One year of experience working with Budget Analysis and Reporting System (BARS).
One year of experience working with Maryland Financial Management Information System (FMIS).
One year of experience with Google software suite.
