The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking dedicated candidates to fill important roles within our department. POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years of experience in food production or service for a large scale food service operation.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in food production or service for a large scale food service operation on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute additional education in the area of food service management, nutritional care, institutional administration or a related area on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Food Preparation and Serving classifications or Food Preparation and Serving specialty codes in the Food Service field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with reports regarding food service operation
- Knowledgeable in the food service policies, procedures and guidelines
- Experience with the inspection of food service facilities, equipment, and operations to evaluate compliance with the standards of sanitation, quality and efficiency.
