Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Verifies the accuracy of case records, case numbers, nomenclature, fiscal year disposal date, and category. Performs data entry functions as part of the record information into the department's automated Closed Files tracking system, resulting in an electronic record of all papers submitted to the Hall of Archives/Retention Center for storage and/or disposition.
- Leads and directs staff to ensure the efficient delivery of services to internal and external clients on a daily basis, as well as the achievement of agency and unit goals in accordance with federal, state, county, and agency rules, policies, procedures and standards.
- Conducts monthly record audits to ensure that all records are kept within the approved retention schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years of experience performing clerical duties.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to two years of the required experience.
2. Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, data base, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administrative classifications or in Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Clerical Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
