POSITION DUTIES
- Develops goals and objectives for the teams; develops policies and procedures and assigns priorities; develops specific program plans and milestones; supervises the development of the budget and other resource needs; directs special initiatives and projects; analyzes state and federal changes to determine impact; develops and writes regulation changes; comments on proposed legislation and coordinates and implements new legislation.
- Coordinates and delegates work; monitors work progress; directs, assigns, plans, organizes, monitors, evaluates, coaches, and supervises the work of policy analyst and two supervisors; evaluates staff performance; disciplines staff when necessary and follows agency protocol when doing so; monitor attendance records and ensure that staff adhere to appropriate personnel practices by informing them of regulations, counseling, written reprimands and Employee Assistance Program referral procedures; assist the Senior Director with recruitment to fill vacancies.
- Demonstrates the technical skills required to train policy analysts to develop and design state of the art instructional materials by producing tutorials, and manuals; communicates the goals and objectives of the Department, Administration and Office effectively.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Eleven years of experience, seven years of experience in administrative, professional or technical work, two years must have involved supervision of other employees or exercising responsibility for program development and an additional four years of professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of experience in administrative, professional or technical work, two years must have involved supervision of other employees or exercising responsibility for program development, for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute graduate level education at the graduate level at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours on a year-for-year basis for up to six years of the required non-supervisory general experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience, two years must have been in an administrative supervisory or consultative capacity.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
One year of experience working in Family Investment Programs.
One year of experience applying Federal and State policies and regulations related to Medical Assistance.
One year of experience analyzing, interpreting data, and preparing clear, accurate, and detailed reports.
