Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Responsible for the organization and maintenance of bank, credit union, and non-depository trust company files and the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, to ensure that information on Maryland-chartered banks, credit unions, and non-depository trust companies, and out-of-state banks doing business in Maryland, is kept current and is readily available when needed for Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner - Depository Supervision, and field examiners' use; Sco1·ecard monitoring and disbursement of data, analyzing of data; strategic planning administrative matters, examiner training coordinator, preparing annual assessment letters; preparing the Commissioner's Annual Report; and/or responding to inquiries from banks, credit unions, non-depository trust companies, attorneys, the general public, members of the Maryland Legislature, and/or the Governor.
- Independently tracks, reviews, and updates various spreadsheets, projects, and other duties, and may provide recommendations of action(s) to be taken on depository institution related matters as assigned by the Assistant Commissioner - Depository Supervision and Deputy Commissioner. The various spreadsheets include, but are not limited to: continuously updating and maintaining of training completed and training and travel related expenses; chartered institutions monitoring spreadsheets; updating and maintaining examiner related spreadsheets for various purposes; off-site monitoring spreadsheet to track completion; and equipment inventory and other depository related matters.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite products.
Experience with creating and administering spreadsheets in Excel.
Project management experience.
