LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
·
Oversee daily activities, ensure timely
processing of invoices, and approve payments according to company policies.
·
Verify invoices against purchase orders and
receipts, and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
·
Handle payments (checks, electronic transfers,
ACH), ensure compliance with schedules and procedures, and reconcile
transactions.
·
Post journal entries in FMIS, maintain internal
controls to prevent fraud, and monitor their effectiveness.
·
Work with other departments to improve
processes, train staff on best practices, and ensure proper documentation.
·
Stay informed on accounting standards and
regulations, and ensure adherence to laws and company policies.
- Perform other duties as
assigned by supervisors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience supervising the review, verification, recording, adjusting and balancing of financial transactions.
Notes:
1. Additional experience calculating and recording financial, statistical or other numerical data may be substituted on a year for-year basis for the required high school education.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Financial Clerical/Finance Technicians classifications or specialty codes in the financial field of work at a rate of one year of military experience for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Desired Qualifications:
- The preferred candidate will possess current knowledge and three years of A/P experience, involving processing invoices in FMIS.
