The Regulatory and Compliance
Engineer III will assist the Division Chief with implementing a comprehensive
dam safety program in Maryland. This position is the third in a progressive

Compliance Division. The level of experience is mid-level. Responsibilities
include inspecting new dam construction, inspecting existing impoundment structures,
assisting dam owners with emergency preparation, and providing technical
engineering expertise and direction. This position protect the public from
the inherent dangers associated with dam failures. The incumbent in this position uses highly specialized engineering skills to evaluate dam safety and

construction equipment hazards while conducting inspections of existing
structures and dams under construction.
