LOCATION OF POSITION
POSITION DUTIES
- Provide project oversight and manage technical assistance for SUCCESS programs at the three colleges.
- Work with the MDRC team to develop expertise in all components of the SUCCESS model and best practices for implementation and ongoing program monitoring and improvement.
- Co-create (with MDRC) and deliver SUCCESS program design and implementation training and provide ongoing implementation support to participating colleges.
- Ensure that all three colleges successfully launch the SUCCESS program and serve students through (at a minimum) spring 2025. Over this period, ensure the SUCCESS program collectively serves at least 750 students.
- Monitor program implementation throughout the project period and support colleges in making data-driven program improvements.
- Create and facilitate opportunities for the colleges to learn from and support each other in program implementation, improvement, and scaling.
- Liaise with college and MDRC staff to develop benchmarks to evaluate progress toward SUCCESS implementation.
- Facilitate the production and internal review of monthly program participation and semesterly academic outcome reports at each college.
- Manage data intake from college-level management information systems.
- Provide informal and formal feedback (e.g., surveys and interviews) to the MDRC team about this approach to launching the SUCCESS program in Maryland.
- Build relationships with key higher education stakeholders in Maryland to help institutionalize support for SUCCESS and expand to other colleges in the state.
- Visit with campus leadership, staff, and students regularly, both in-person and virtually. Physical travel to the campus may be required on a monthly basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge and experience in relation to academic advising, coaching, Guided Pathways, first-year experience, retention, and career services.
- Strong commitment to shared accountability and high-quality customer service and care.
- Familiarity with relevant national and state policies, practices and legislation that relates to retention, success coaching, and pathway development and support.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices and professional learning strategies to create a sense of belonging and address historic and systemic inequities for student success.
- Excellent time management, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong listening, writing and verbal skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and information, verbally and in writing, to a variety of stakeholders/constituents.
- Ability to effectively work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience bridging the gap between theory and practice for the benefit of students from underrepresented populations in higher education.
- Experience in employing and deploying data-informed and results oriented initiatives.
- An appreciation of shared governance and evidence of strong ability to work effectively and collaboratively with administration, faculty, students, staff, and other constituent groups and partners, both within and outside a college or university with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

BENEFITS
Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
Leave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
