The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking dedicated candidates to fill important roles within our department. We are one of the largest departments in Maryland with nearly 12,000 employees and a budget of more than $1 billion. POSITION DUTIES
- Focus on the Department's mission and communicate the Secretary's vision to other employees and members of the public.
- Review/revise legislative proposals drafted by other members of the Department or agencies within the Department.
- Coordinate all responses to Joint Chairmen's Report and Annual Reports on behalf of the Secretary.
- Serve as an official spokesperson and representative of the Secretary and various agency heads providing information to the members of the General Assembly and their respective staff.
- Provide assistance to legislators in addressing constituent concerns relating to the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
- Develop and lead special projects as directed by the Chief of Staff.
