POSITION DUTIES
This position serves
as the lead financial specialist that verifies and reconciles financial
reimbursement requests from sub-grantees. The Financial Compliance Monitor will
be responsible for maintaining a chart on monthly accounts for sub-grantees,
providing technical assistance on completing budget amendments and required
reimbursement documentation to sub-grantees, and tracking grant drawdowns.
Duties include:
- Verifying and reconciling financial reimbursement requests
- Reviewing all expenditure reports
- Provide weekly updates to Section Chief and Director of Federal Programs
- Assist in identifying new funding opportunities
- Provide technical assistance to sub-grantees on completing budget amendments and submitting required documentation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or
university in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
Experience: Two years of administrative or teaching experience in education or
rehabilitation programs.
Notes:
1.
Candidates may substitute additional experience as defined above directly
related to the position at the rate of one year of experience for each year of
the required education.
2. Candidates
may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree from an accredited college
or university for one year of the required experience.
3. The
above requirements are set by the Maryland State Department of Education
in accordance with Education Article, Section 2-104, Annotated Code of
Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must consent to a State Police
