GRADE

Branch Office Representative - $20.00/hour

LOCATION OF POSITION

This recruitment is open to individuals able to work in one of the following locations:
  • Cumberland
  • Greenbelt

POSITION DUTIES

Do you enjoy helping people and have good Bilingual/Spanish customer service skills? How would you like the opportunity to work for The Comptroller of Maryland Branch Offices?

If this is you, The Taxpayer Services Division of the Comptroller of Maryland is looking for highly motivated Bilingual (Spanish) Branch Office Representatives to provide taxpayer service assistance to taxpayers and tax preparers in one of our eleven Branch Offices across Maryland.

The office schedule is: Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

PLEASE NOTE: Evening and weekend work may be required especially during peak times of the year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: The ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish.

** For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a detailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalency evaluating members identified at http://www.naces.org/members.html.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Customer service experience
  • Personal computer experience
  • Software applications experience 
  • Fiscal clerical or clerical related work, or income tax preparation

LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION

  • Telework is not available for this position
  • Leave may be restricted during the first 30 days
  • Leave may be limited during certain times of the year  due to high volume events, projects or special assignments
