This is a Special Appointment position. The incumbent serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Experience: 5 years administrative staff or professional experience, 2 years of which must have been supervising or managing a minimum staff of 5.
Notes:
1. Additional experience in administrative staff or professional work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Additional graduate level education at an accredited at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-for-year basis for the required general experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
1. Three (3) years working within a correctional or criminal justice related agency.
2. Knowledge implementation of current laws regarding the Justice Reinvestment Act (JRA).
3. Two (2) years of Correctional Case Management Experience.

- Personal Leave - new State employees are awarded six (6) personnel days annually (prorated based on start date).
- Annual Leave - ten (10) days of accumulated annual leave per year.
- Sick Leave - fifteen (15) days of accumulated sick leave per year.
- Parental Leave - up to sixty (60) days of paid parental leave upon the birth or adoption of a child.

- Free Mass Transit Benefit- Permanent State employees are entitled to use the Baltimore Light Rail, the Baltimore Metro Subway, the Baltimore Bus Service.
