Introduction
The Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture (MCAAHC), is seeking an experienced and energetic individuals to fill the position of Agency Grants Specialist II.

Main Purpose of Job
As the Agency Grant Specialist II for the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture (MCAAHC), the incumbent in this position is responsible for the administration of the State-funded African American Heritage Preservation Program (AAHPP) grants and grants that supports the mission of MCAAHC.
POSITION DUTIES
Support the AAHPP Research Grant Specialist, in the
coordination of grant cycles such as but limited to recruitment of grant
reviewers, coordinating grant reviewer trainings, coordinating AAHPP applicant
trainings, and providing grant applicants’ feedback.
Providing outreach support throughout the state of
Maryland, promoting the AAHPP program at conferences and special events.
Provide necessary administrative, reporting, and research
support for agency grant-funded heritage preservation initiatives, including
but not limited to administrative support to special committees, writing and
presenting reports and managing interns, fellows, and or volunteers.
Lead in the preparation, submission, and management of
agency’s grant applications in support of the agency’s programming.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Historic Preservation,
US. History or other related fields
Experience: Applicants must have 2 years’ experience in
grants management.

All qualified candidates must possess at least a bachelor’s
degree

Bachelor’s Degree in Historic Preservation or US

• Personal
Leave- new State employees are awarded six (6) personnel days annually
(prorated based on start date).

Leave – up to sixty (60) days of paid parental leave upon the birth or adoption
