Introduction

Maryland Public Television, commonly known as MPT, is a public television network that broadcasts throughout the entire state of Maryland and the District of Columbia and into parts of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. MPT is Maryland's only statewide broadcaster. Headquartered in Owings Mills, MPT is a member of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and is a producer of both locally and nationally distributed TV programs and digital content.

Main Purpose of Job

To provide contract management, administrative support, and customer service to the various divisions within Maryland Public Television.

POSITION DUTIES

In coordination with the procurement and contract management department, assist in preparing and finalizing assigned contractual agreements including artist agreements and vendor agreements. This position will also manage MPT contract portfolio request for assigned departments. It will recommend, prepare, and facilitate contract modifications, extensions or terminations. This candidate will also be responsible for managing expiration dates and balances on purchases as well as provide administrative support to the Vice President of Finance/Accounting. 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION:  Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three years of administrative staff or professional contract management experience. 

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in Business Administration

  • Experience with State of Maryland Procurement laws, regulations, policies, application and software
  • Experience organizing, tracking, and being responsible for contract documents
  • Experience communicating with stakeholders, vendors, and internal partners regarding upholding and adhering to tenets of contracts
  • Working knowledge of the Maryland Financial Management Information System (FMIS) or ADPICS
  • Experience using DocuSign to create, edit, and route documents
