Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Plan, coordinate, monitor, and supervise workflow of clerical staff to meet priorities and needs of program. Proofread finished assignments for accuracy; train office secretary on correct procedures to complete tasks and designated deadlines; develop, recommend, and implement modifications of clerical operations and procedures to improve efficiency; schedule monthly supervision meetings; complete beginning, mid-year, and end of year performance evaluation; conduct operations ethically; adhere to compliance requirements; provide discipline and structure that influences staff awareness of and respect of operational controls.
- Send communication to staff to alert them of changes or adjustments in program procedures in absence of supervisor; disperse tokens for family preservation staff for utilization by program clients; process flex fund requests; retain a monthly log reflecting token usage; replenish tokens as needed; act as security monitor for child welfare staff; confer with other agency personnel providing information, interpreting policies and procedures related to family preservation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Four years of experience performing clerical duties.
Notes:
1. Additional experience performing clerical duties may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Applicants may substitute education from an accredited college or university at the rate of thirty semester credit hours for one year of experience on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
3.Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical or Office Services specialty codes in the Administrative Support field of work on a year-for year basis for the required experience.
