The Department of Service and Civic Innovation was established by the Serving Every Region Through Vocational Exploration (SERVE) Act of 2023 with the purpose of promoting service and volunteerism in the state of Maryland. The SERVE Act also launched two new exciting service pathways for eligible youth and adults, in addition to existing volunteer and service opportunities available through the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism (GOSV).

Main Purpose of Job
The incumbent will support the Department of Service and Civic Innovation (DSCI) in strengthening relationships with current Host Site Partners. The main purpose of this role is to build a community of employers that are programmatic partners of the Department in addition to being grantees and co-founders.
POSITION DUTIES
The Partnerships Associate will provide leadership, direction, and coordination for the planning, design and implementation of a Partnership Development Strategy to manage the relationships with Host Site Partners for the Maryland Corps/Service Year Option. This will mean scheduling, planning and executing our grantee "Third Thursday" calls to keep critical partners in the loop, using creative means to build community and buy-in among our cadre of Host Site Partners, and cultivating relationships with new and existing partners so that they might become Host Site Partners, or contribute to our Department's work via in-kind or financial contributions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
Experience:
One year of relevant experience, such as administrative support, human resources, project coordination, or a related field.
Notes:
1. Applicants with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, or a related field can be substituted for the required experience
2. Applicants may substitute three years of experience in employer engagement, workforce development, or partnership-building for the required education.
