Maryland Public Television, commonly known as MPT, is a public television network that broadcasts throughout the entire state of Maryland and the District of Columbia and into parts of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. MPT is Maryland's only statewide broadcaster. Headquartered in Owings Mills, MPT is a member of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and is a producer of both locally and nationally distributed TV programs and digital content.
The Maryland State Ad Agency (MSAA), a division of Maryland Public Television (MPT) is an award winning agency has produced award winning campaigns for local agencies. Main Purpose of Job
Maryland State Ad Agency (MSAA) is a division of Maryland Public Television (MPT) and a full-service advertising, marketing, communications, and media buying service for Maryland state agencies and related organizations.
We are seeking a marketing intern for who can create content, research industry trends and assist in creating marketing strategy for the agency and our clients. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of marketing principles, using social media for business purposes, and digital marketing strategies.
POSITION DUTIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Support teams to plan, develop, and execute marketing initiatives
● Support projects related to branding, content creation, and social media marketing
● Assist management with the preparation of campaign reporting
● Collect performance metrics to measure progress
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates should possess the following:
● Organizational skills with attention to detail
● Strong communication and presentation skills
● Sense of teamwork and the ability to execute programs
● Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate is required. Applicants must be current college and/or university students or recent college graduates within the past (6) months. Applicants must be willing to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week.
