The fundamental reason this classification exists is to perform professional accounting work and assist the Accounting Manager with the City's cash management efforts. The essential functions are: assists the Accounting Manager with cash management efforts; assists with managing the City's reconciliation functions; assists with coordinating the City's property management effort; supervises personnel; obtains and processes financial data and information; provides consultation and expert advice to management; and prepares financial documentation. The employee reports to the Accounting Manager.
Bachelor's degree in accounting and two years of managerial accounting or high-level experience managing and supervising the accounting and financial functions of a governmental agency or managing and leading audits of public accounts. Experience with a municipality is preferred.
