The
fundamental reason this classification exists is to provide direction and
management to the Planning, Engineering, Traffic Engineering and Inspections
departments. The cabinet level director will report to the Chief Operating
Officer.
Must have Bachelor’s degree in
Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and be a
registered architect or licensed engineer in the State of Alabama with a
minimum of six (6) years of experience as a Building Official, Construction
Manager or Project Manager in general construction with considerable experience
in building, electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing contracting, including at
least five (5) years of managerial/supervisory experience.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
