The fundamental reason this position
exists is to provide technical and logistical support for analyzing, planning, developing,
and the administration of a city/county-wide emergency management training and
exercise program with an emphasis on the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) and
state and local Medical Countermeasure (MCM) plans. The work responsibilities are assisting with
coordinating the planning and exercise training of the SNS program; maintaining and organizing stockpile; identifying and researching grant funds; and serving
in various roles during Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations. Direct
supervision is received from the EMA Operations Officer.
High school diploma or GED and one
(1) year of professional experience in providing technical and administrative support
in emergency management, emergency response, coordinating emergency measures or
services including management, planning, and training.
