The reason this position exists is to identify
and detect potential violent groups, places, and interpersonal conflicts in
order to interrupt the transmission of violence by engaging individuals at
highest risk and mediating those conflicts that are likely to end in violence. The
Violence Prevention Interventionist will report directly to the Violence
Prevention Director.
Must have a high school diploma or GED and at
least three years’ mediation experience in working with at-risk individuals to
include gang affiliated individuals.
NOTE: Qualifying
education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills
and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
