Nature of Work

The fundamental reason this position exists is to develop and implement comprehensive housing strategies, writing and manage housing-related grants, overseeing housing incentive programs, and supporting key initiatives aimed at addressing housing needs in the city. The overall work responsibilities would be designing and managing housing incentive programs, analyzing and interpreting housing policies, identifying grant applications, monitoring housing trends, leading support project teams focused on housing programs, assisting with the general administration of the housing department, and supervising the work of two or more employees. This position will report directly to the Director of Economic Development.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, housing policy or a related field and five (5) years of experience in housing policy, affordable housing development, grant writing, or related roles in government or nonprofit sectors.

NOTE:  Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
