This is a trainee-level job classification supporting professional-level
positions within the city and county Public Safety Departments. These trainee positions are civilian
positions within Public Safety. This
position requires a degree in the targeted job field. The employee will work under direct supervision
until the trainee meets the minimum qualification (for a maximum of two (2)
years) of the target job. After
becoming qualified, the employee will be eligible for promotion.
