The fundamental reason this classification exists is to serve as a lead worker to other Parking Management Workers while performing skilled work in the fee collection, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical parking meters. The Parking Management Worker II assists the Parking Management Supervisor with administrative duties and performs the duties of the supervisor in his/her absence. Primary work responsibilities may include: performing the duties of the Parking Management Supervisor in his/her absence; performing fee collection and processing duties; documenting collected parking meter fees; training and advising Parking Management Worker Is in maintenance and repair techniques; performing maintenance, repair, and installation duties; and performing additional duties in service to the department. Supervision is received from the Parking Management Supervisor.
High school diploma or GED. Two (2) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of parking meters, signs, and stalls or other related mechanical repair and maintenance experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record as needed to operate city vehicle.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Physical ability to walk, bend, stoop, crouch, squat, and kneel for extended periods of time as needed for the collection of meter fees and the maintenance and installation of meters. Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull coins and equipment weighing up to 70lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a variety of
weather conditions with exposure to the elements to include extreme heat, cold,
rain, and lightning. Work is performed in uncontrolled work environments,
including but not limited to, work zones and in close proximity to heavy traffic.
