The employee is responsible for
assisting with the management and supervision of library-based systems,
internal networks, and electronic resources. Work responsibilities include assisting
with the automated system and related
technology; monitoring the daily use of technologies, networks and components
systems; and implementing the Library’s technology plan; and coordinating
activities of users. Job is
performed with considerable independence requiring judgment in resolving the
Library IT issues and needs. Supervision
is received under the direction of the Library Technology Administrator.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer
Information Systems or related field and two (2) years of experience managing an
automation system with at least ten workstations across multiple locations.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Must possess a valid Alabama
driver’s license as needed to travel to library sites to coordinate
installation of hardware and software and to resolve computer problems.
