Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.

The
fundamental reason this classification exists is planning, coordinating, and
overseeing the development, renovation, and maintenance of parks, recreational
facilities, and public spaces. This role involves managing projects from conception
through completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in
accordance with safety standards and community needs. The Parks and Recreations Project Coordinator's work
responsibilities include: managing and overseeing all aspects of parks projects
for the Department of Parks and Recreations, ensuring successful planning,
design, construction, and modification of facilities and amenities through
effective project management, contract coordination, budget oversight, quality
control, compliance with regulations, and interdepartmental collaboration while
maintaining accurate records and fostering stakeholder engagement to align with
organizational goals. This classification reports to and
receives general directions from the Parks and Recreations Director.
Must have
a Bachelor's
Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Sports Management, or
a related field and four (4) years of experience in project management,
preferably in parks and recreation, project coordination/management, or
urban/environment/resource planning activities; Proven experience in
planning, organizing, and implementing recreational programs and activities and
a Project Management Certification is a plus.

experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to
perform the job will be considered.
