This is part time work directing a community band of 50 or more individuals performing concerts.
High school diploma or G.E.D. and one year of experience in an organized recreational program working with individuals with disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference may be given to individuals with a valid Commercial Driver's License.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Physical ability to lift and carry individuals with disabilities, up to 50 lbs. unassisted, on to motor vehicles as needed to transport program participants. Must be willing to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends. Employment is conditioned upon applicants acquiring and maintaining a commercial driver's license (CDL) in accordance with the provisions of the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986 and providing a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) from the Department of Public Safety as proof of an insurable driving record. CDL must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
