The
fundamental reason this position exists is to manage the scheduling and tour
logistics of all tours for the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. This position also assists in the
coordination and maintenance of the docent program and its participants. The essential functions position are: manages
the scheduling and logistics for Museum tours; assists in the management and
coordination of the docent program; and performs additional duties. Work requires high levels of customer service
and listening skills as well as extensive knowledge of tour curriculum. Work is performed with considerable
independence of judgment and supervision. The Museum Tour Coordinator is supervised by
the Museum Curator III (Education).
High
School Diploma or G.E.D. and one year of administrative support experience to
include face-to-face customer contact and project or staff scheduling. (Customer contact experience is defined as
guest relations, volunteer coordination, public relations, or closely related
experience.)
NOTE: Preference will be given to applicants with experience in trunk radio installations, repair and maintenance.
Must
be able to walk and stand for long periods of time as needed for guided group
tours. Must be able to work nights,
weekends, and holidays as needed for emergencies and/or special events.
